If this movie didn't suck, then I would've loved to see a sequel to it.
I had this on video when I was little, I agree, though, Cody's character is the adult inside the kid inside all of us, when we're teens, we want to grow up quickly, we fall in love, have to study and focus on our futures, I remember hearing on an episode of "Who's the Boss" that being a kid is the one part of your life where you're free and you have all of this energy, to, well, be a kid and pretend and all.... I don't understand the marching band in the movie I mean its nice to see them come out but there is really no need to as Barney would say 'fancy dance' right on top of the egg let alone place their hands on it.

When I was little I liked it, when I first saw this movie in theaters. But looking back at it now, it barely feels like a Barney movie. They didn't use any well-known Barney songs from the show (except for Barney's trademark ending song "I Love You"). All the other songs in this movie are either traditional children's songs, or songs exclusively for the movie only. Hell, they didn't even use "The Barney Theme Song" for crying out loud. That song they played in the beginning of the film is not what we had in mind. They should've just used the actual Barney theme song from the show, to make it feel even more like a Barney movie. --LyrickStudiosFan93 (talk) 04:42, December 8, 2016 (UTC)
Different projects
It looks like the Barney franchise had come a long way with producing. First, "Barney & the Backyard Gang" as featurettes, then "Barney & Friends" as a TV show, and now "Barney's Great Adventure" as a full length feature.Jeff Meredith (talk) 05:59, January 24, 2017 (UTC)
