Shawn was a character that appeared in the first three seasons of Barney & Friends. He, like Min and Tosha, did not originally appear in the Barney and the Backyard Gang video series. He was played by John David Bennett, II.

About Shawn

When he first appeared in "The Queen of Make-Believe", Shawn didn't wear glasses, just like Derek didn't wear glasses when he first appeared in "Waiting for Santa". It wasn't until "Picture This!" when he wore them for the first time. His best friend is Min. In the episode What's That Shadow?, he used to be scared of dogs, due to being scratched by one. However, he soon got over his fear. Shawn's favorite food is birthday cake, as revealed on Eat, Drink and Be Healthy! He also likes carrots near the end of this episode. According to "At Home with Animals", he is allergic to animal hair, but this wasn't shown in "What's That Shadow?". His last appearance was in Once Upon a Time.
