- While "Painting the Shapes" is not featured on any of the American releases of Barney music CDs, it is featured in a Hebrew CD of Barney music and is regarded as a classic by many Barney fans.
- In Red, Blue, and Circles Too and Circle of Friends, instead of "We draw a triangle like this," the last verse was changed into "We make a triangle like this."
- The song "Playing The Shapes" uses the tune to this song which only appeared in Shapes.
