Miss Etta Kette (often called just "Miss Etta" for short) is a character appearing in Seasons 4, 5, and 6 of Barney & Friends. She is a bird who has a Southern accent who lives in the tree with Scooter McNutty. Her name is a play on the word Etiquette. She was puppeteered by Wende Welch and voiced by Brice Armstrong. She usually gives very good advice, and bad things happen to those who don't heed her advice. An example of this occurrence was in the episode "Circle of Friends", when Miss Etta tells B.J. that she hopes that he doesn't eat too many pancakes, because if he does, it might give him a tummy-ache, and that was exactly what happened.
