Let's Go to the Beach is a soundtrack with songs based on the home video of the same name and is Barney's sixteenth US album. It was released on CD on March 7, 2006 by Koch Records and HIT Entertainment.
At this point Barney albums would only be released on CD since cassettes were becoming obsolete worldwide, as well as VHS tapes.
It was the fifth Barney US soundtrack, to be based on a home video. In the home video, Barney is voiced by Duncan Brannan and Tim Dever, but in this soundtrack, he is voiced by Dean Wendt. The soundtrack is not redubbed with songs from the video, but takes songs from other Barney media, mainly with vocals from Barney's Colorful World!. Songs that were featured in this soundtrack were featured in the video.
On April 10, 2020, the album was transferred to Warner Music Group's Arts Music division, along with other Barney albums, as Mattel entered into an exclusive, multi-year global music licensing agreement between the company, announced on May 1, 2020.[2]
