Filming for the material content of Kids for Character took place in October 1995[1][2] at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando, Florida.

Trivia[]

  • The prototype version of the Lyrick Studios logo was used in the original printings, later printings used the actual Lyrick Studios logo.
  • This video marked:
    • The first time Jeff Gittle directed for Barney. He would return to directing 2 years later for the Barney & Friends episode What's in a Name?
    • The first Barney video to have Joseph Phillips as a music director.
    • The first Barney video to be released and distributed by Lyrick Studios, however the logo would not be shown on tapes until 1997.
    • The first appearance of the 1996 Baby Bop costume.
    • The final time Min and Shawn appeared together.
  • The Barney segment was filmed at or around the same time as the filming for Once Upon a Time (judging from the fact that Shawn and Tosha wear the same outfits in both).
    • Although BJ doesn't appear during the Barney Segment in this video, he appears in the middle and in the end of this video.
  • This video is dedicated with respect and admiration to the memory of Barbara Jordan, a founding board member and national co-spokesperson for the Character Counts Coalition.
  • Bob West makes a cameo appearance during the crowd song towards the end of the video. He can briefly be seen carrying the Puzzle Place banner.
  • Shawn later wore the same shirt shown in Once Upon A Time.
