"If You're Happy and You Know It" is a popular traditional repetitive children's and drinking song. The song has been noted for its similarities to "Molodejnaya", a song appearing in the 1938 Soviet musical film Volga-Volga. It made its first appearance in the Barney franchise in The Backyard Show.

If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands! (Hands clapping)
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands! (Hands clapping)
If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it;
If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands! (Hands clapping)
If you're happy and you know it, stamp your feet! (Feet stamping)
If you're happy and you know it, stamp your feet! (Feet stamping)
If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it;
If you're happy and you know it, stamp your feet! (Feet stamping)
If you're happy and you know it, shout "Hooray!" (Hooray!)
If you're happy and you know it, shout "Hooray!" (Hooray!)
If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it;
If you're happy and you know it, shout "Hooray!" (Hooray!)
If you're happy and you know it, do all three! (Hands clapping, Feet stamping, Hooray!)
If you're happy and you know it, do all three! (Hands clapping, Feet stamping, Hooray!)

Trivia[]

  • The song with the same tune is "Mix a Color", while its slight variation is "If You're Angry and You Know It".
  • For "Oh, What A Day!", in this song's lyrics, stanzas 2 and 3 is replaced with (excluding the "[...] show it" line) verses about being mad and sad (the "If you're sad and you know it, cry a tear" is used instead for stanza 3, while the "Stamp your feet" line's mood changes from happy to mad at the same time), while stanza 4 is edited.
