I Love My Friends is a 2012 direct-to-video Barney Home Video clip show that was released on January 3, 2012. Featuring newly written scenes directed by Fred Holmes and written by Charlotte Spivey, this video features scenes from eighth-eleventh and fourteenth seasons of Barney & Friends. This was the first home video since Come on Over to Barney's House to be in the Classic Collection series, while also making it the final video within the series.
Plot[]
Katie, Logan, and Olivia are planning to take their stuffed animal friends for a tour around the park. Baby Bop brings the wagon for the animals to ride in. But when their wagon breaks, it takes a friend, just like BJ, to put it back together. However, not all animals can fit in the wagon. Learning about the horrible feeling of being left out, BJ proclaims that no animal should be left out. Barney produces a bigger wagon for all the animals to fit in.

Production[]
Filming[]
Filming for I Love My Friends took place towards the end of October 2010[1] at HIT Entertainment Studios in Carrollton, Texas. This was the final video to be directed by Fred Holmes in production order despite the video A Super-Dee-Duper Day being made a year earlier in 2009 before its release was delayed two years later in 2014. I Love My Friends was one of three videos filmed during this month, with the others being I Can Do It! and A Very Merry Christmas. Given that all three videos were clip shows, they shot fast.
Release[]
Home media[]
I Love My Friends was released on DVD, Digital HD and VOD (video on demand) on January 3, 2012 by HIT Entertainment and Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The DVD release was suggested at a retail price of $14.98.[2] The DVD release contained a read-along of Barney's Book of Hugs and a sing-along of "If You're Happy and You Know It". Unlike the DVD release, the Digital HD version was released in a widescreen format. The DVD release for Mexico (titled Yo Amo a Mis Amigos) would be released in widescreen.
I Love My Friends was also included in the Barney Loves You 3 DVD Set which was released on February 19, 2013 by HIT Entertainment and Lionsgate Home Entertainment. The set also contained the videos You Can Be Anything and We Love Our Family.[3] I Love My Friends (alongside the video Be My Valentine, Love Barney) would later be re-released by HIT Entertainment and Universal Pictures Home Entertainment in early January 2017, in honor of Valentine's Day. The video would be re-released again the following year, on July 3, 2018, distributed by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment and 9 Story Media Group.

Trivia[]
- This video marked:
- The final video until Dinos in the Park to use the produced copyright date during the end credits.
- After not being used for ten years, the sixth season Barney doll returns in this video, since "All Aboard!".
- Although this video was released in 2012, "Copyright 2011 Lyons Partnership, L.P." is being said at the end of the credits, which means it was completed before it was released.
Characters[]
- Even though Riff does not appear in the new content of this video, he is mentioned as well as his actress and costume performers being listed in the credits.
- Mario is only credited as a guest star from "Sharing" during the end credits despite him also appearing in "A Picture of Friendship".
- This video marks the only appearances of Katie, Logan, and Olivia.
Songs[]
- The "Barney Theme Song" is omitted at the beginning of this video. Instead, a customized intro featuring a wagon with stuffed animals is shown and the background music is a shortened instrumental of "Bumpin' Up and Down".
- "We're Best Friends" was previously sung in Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps which was another property HIT Entertainment formerly owned before this video was originally produced. The lyrics for the song were slightly altered when it was sung for the video's new content.
