• Mattel, former producer of Barney toys, now owns HiT Entertainment. They don't own the company's share of PBS Kids Sprout, however, and it's rumored that NBC Universal will take that share from the company. Rumors say that Mattel has sold off the Barney franchise, along with Angelina Ballerina.
• All Exclusive Collection and HiT Entertainment have announced a partnership to include a "Little Big Club" themed kids program at their resorts in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. The Barney music area will allow children to play with musical instruments, and enjoy Barney sing-along shows. One of the resorts will have a Barney treehouse as part of the water park.
• "Most Loveable Moments", a compilation of Barney episodes from Seasons 8, 10-13, will be released on September 18, 2012.
• "Celebrate With Barney", a Barney DVD set, will be released on October 16, 2012. It will contain Celebrating Around The World, We Love Our Family, and Top 20 Countdown
