• Techno Source, under its "Toy Island" brand, has become the toy company for the Barney franchise. The new line, coming in Spring to Canada and the United States, will bring playsets, figurines, and plush toys released by "Character" in the UK to North America.
• Mattel, former producer of Barney toys, now owns HiT Entertainment. They don't own the company's share of PBS Kids Sprout, however, and it's rumored that NBC Universal will take that share from the company.
• All Exclusive Collection and HiT Entertainment have announced a partnership to include a Barney themed area at their resorts in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean. The Barney music area will allow children to play with musical instruments, and enjoy Barney sing-along shows.
• "All About Opposites", an Episode Video, will be released on July 10, 2012.
