A Different Kind of Mystery is the 11th episode from Season 4 of Barney & Friends.


Strange noises coming from the classroom prompt Jeff, Ashley, Kristen, Curtis, and Barney to investigate who the mysterious visitor might be—with plenty of helpful hints from Scooter McNutty. Stella tells the story of "The City Mouse and the Country Mouse." The strange noise happened to be Jeff's cat name Tiger.

  • This is the second time a kitten ends up in the classroom. The first was same episode Oh, What a Day!.
  • Three of the kids (Ashley, Curtis and Kristen) also appeared in It's Time for Counting (with Kim and Robert).
